My redware and slipware pottery is inspired by
early American pottery and folk art. The simple forms with original and traditional designs are glazed
with a lead free glaze to make it both functional and decorative. All pieces are individually hand made
using a variety of traditional TECHNIQUES.

REDWARE, which derives it's name from the red color of the earthenware

BLUE SLIPWARE is made of white earthenware clay covered with blue slip (liquid clay). A design is
carved through the blue slip to reveal the color of the clay beneath. This is an example of the decorating TECHNIQUE called sgraffito.

FIBER ARTS POTS have designs relating to the fiber arts - spinning, weaving, and knitting. You will find both
